Important Machines in the Packaging Industry

Packaging machines are used to load and close product containers, such as bottles, boxes, tubes, cans, jars, etc. These machines could be manual, semi-automated, or fully automated, depending upon the business requirements. Unlike manual or semi-automated machines, fully automated machines do all the tasks, right from beginning to end. Since most, or in fact, all the tasks are done by these machines themselves, therefore they come with higher price tags. Moreover, they are likely to be more complex in designs as compare to semi-automated machines.

There are different types of machines available in the packaging industry that can be used for the same purposes depending upon the product types. Some common types are aerosol, auger filler machines, bolster packaging machines, cartooning machines, cup sealer machines, corrugated box machines, food packaging machines, flow wrap machines, ointment and cream filling machines, and so on (the list is actually quite long).
Besides the above mentioned machines, there are auxiliary machines, such as bag loaders, or shrink tunnel machines that can be used for handling the products. Usually, pharmaceutical  industry, food & beverage industry and chemical industry use such machines to protect their products while shipping. These machines make use of a thin plastic film, which when heated shrinks and conforms to the shape of the products. Thus, the products remain protected from dirt, moisture, and damage in transport.

The demand of such machines is increasing day by day, as these machines help preserve the quality of the products in the simplest possible ways.
