Four Major Types of Filling Machines

Packaging industry is the one industry that has seen a sharp growth in the recent times. The manufacturing sector is quite dependent on this industry as most of the products manufactured need some kind of packaging. Filling machines play a vital role in this industry as these come quite handy when you have to fill the manufactured content into containers. Below listed are some major types of filling machines:

Overflow Fillers - Overflow fillers work on the principle of filling the bottle to a specific level, even if there will be any discrepancy in individual bottles. This type of machine offers aesthetic value to the products, which are packed in transparent containers such as mineral water and window cleaners.

Gravity Fillers – Gravity filling machines work on the principle in which a tank containing the manufactured content connected to a filling head fills the containers on a time-based manner. These machines are best for free-flowing  products. These allow you to place as many as filling nozzles or do customization such as placing diving heads and foam control.

Piston Fillers – These machines are perfect for viscous products such as tomato sauce, jam and pastes. Piston filler works on the principle in which the piston will pull back to its initial position during each cycle. Thus, dispenses the same amount of manufactured content into the cylinder that fills the container.

Pump Fillers – As clear from the name, these machines use a pump and are perfect for filling thicker products. Different types of pumps are used depending upon the requirement. For example, a gear pump can be used where you need to move manufactured content into the container based on time or turn of the gear.
One can choose any machine among the above options depending upon the requirement.
