Three Major Types of Capping Machines

In our daily lives, we people use a wide variety of products that are of different shapes and sizes and most of them come packed, but do you know how those are packed? The answer is through the use of different types of capping machines available in the market. Different types of products have different packing requirements and that's why there are different types of machines used to pack different products into appropriate containers. 

Below are some of the major types of capping machines used in the process of packing:

• Spindle Cappers – These use sets of matched discs and a conveyor system on which the containers are passed through and during that time caps are placed onto bottles or containers. These machines are capable of handling a wide variety of screw type caps at a higher speed. 

• Chuck Cappers – These are somewhat similar to those of spindle cappers as they also work with screw caps. These consists of a metal chuck a rubber insert equal to the cap size and when a bottle is placed under the capping head, the chuck descends upon it in order to apply continuous torque to every bottle and cap combination. 

• Snap Cappers – These are different from the above listed two types as these are used for non-screw caps. The functioning of these are somewhat different from the other two as rather than being torqued, the caps are applied using pressure.
